Bachelor/Master Thesis Data Management & Analysis

Your work environment:

As a department for data management and analysis, we support a comprehensive interdisciplinary research project dealing with functional and traffic safety in automated and networked driving. As a student you have the opportunity to participate in this highly innovative and interdisciplinary research project. You will be supervised by experienced deep learning experts and benefit from their practical know-how as well as from the necessary computer infrastructure.

Your assignments:
  • Development of the current state of research in three-dimensional machine vision
  • Development and training of deep learning systems for classification and description of three-dimensional objects
  • Mapping of images to point clouds
  • Evaluation of the integration of developed systems in productive data management
Your qualifications:
  • Study of (geo-)computer science, mathematics, or engineering sciences with corresponding specialization
  • Basic experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning and with the tool Python
  • Preferably practical experience with Tensorflow, Pytorch or other Machine Learning Frameworks
  • Pleasure in the challenge and the courage to take the initiative when working with innovative techniques on open-ended tasks.
